What we believe
About the bible
We believe the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. It was penned by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Because the Bible is inspired by God it is completely free of error. The Bible is God’s Word to us.
God has eternally existed in three persons The Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are one God. He is the creator of the Universe, the giver and sustainer of life, and the Savior of all mankind. He is complete in his holiness, pure in his love and compassionate in his mercy. Every individual will one day stand before him when this life has ended.
About Jesus Christ
Jesus is the Son of God, co-equal with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit, and one part of the Trinity. He is all God and all man, Creator of the universe, Savior of humanity, the single mediator between God and man. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a perfectly sinless life, was crucified, buried, then rose again on the third day.
About the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is one part of a triune God. God has given his children the gift of the Holy Spirit to keep us until the day we are united with our heavenly Father. God, through the Holy Spirit gives gifts to believers for the perfecting of the saints, the work of the ministry and the edifying of the Church.
As imperfect humans, we are all headed for a destructive end in eternity. Jesus has made himself available as a substitute for us through His death on the cross. While that gift is available to all people, only those who accept that gift on a personal basis will be forgiven of their sins. There is no possible way any good behavior will undo the wrongs we have committed. This is why Jesus had to take our place in judgement.
